This past weekend I had the pleasure of touring what some have called a “hidden Ivy” – Washington University in St. Louis. Referring to anything as an “Ivy” is tricky business, but in this case the moniker is well-deserved. With an enrollment of 14,000 students equally split between undergraduate and graduate programs, “Wash U.” seems modest in size compared to all but one Big Ten school (Northwestern).
